Sahaja Devi, Tracey Erin Lanham, believes that all of us have the capacity to experience union in our everyday lives. She is deeply passionate about guiding students to experience the pulse of the universe and to understand that pulse as the path to union. Each class is a confirmation that we are not separate from the universal heartbeat. Rather, we are part of it. She is also deeply interested in exploring the spaces between- the transitions and the connections. These places that are neither here nor there teach us that this practice, and indeed this life, is not a series of separate and disconnected events, but rather a continuous, unbroken thread.
Tracey’s Sanskrit name, Sahaja Devi, was given by her beloved teacher, Aditi Devi. Sahaja means innate and spontaneous and describes the spark of bliss that is the ember in the very center of each and every one of us. This bliss is our birth-right and our true nature and Sahaja’s classes reflect that important teaching.
Sahaja began practicing yoga in 2000 and is an E-RYT 200, RYT 500. After studying with Erica Kaufman, the founder of Lila yoga, she became a certified yoga teacher in 2005. Since 2005, she has been influenced by and studied with many amazing teachers, including Shannon Paige, Alana Kaivalya, Karen Lerner, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, and Aditi Devi. Sahaja is also an Off the Mat, Into the World facilitator.
