I completed my 200-hour training in May of 2015 at Lila Yoga. My yoga practice has been important for my physical, psychological, and emotional well-being for 4 years and has dovetailed well with a longer-term journey of self-discovery and growth. For me, yoga is an extension of the human desire to observe oneself in, and in relation to, one's surroundings.
Teaching yoga gives the opportunity to share an appreciation and an approach to listening to one's body and one's breath. This practice can be extended from an on the mat practice outward into the rest of life. I enjoy teaching yoga because I think it's worthwhile to share positivity and because teaching is an extension of the practice of listening and responding.
