Intro to LILA YOGA: Energize Prana in Your Yoga & Life

DESCRIPTION: This 4 days program is devoted to your health and is open to ALL (including teachers and those who are interested in teaching). Join Erica for vinyasa asana practice devoted to the inter-play of prana within and around the body/mind. We explore LIVING WITH DARING JOY, LOVE, EASE, AND RESPECTFUL STRENGTH. You will learn how to unite with universal currents of energy, and how this empowers your yoga practice to new depths of clarity, complete integrated fitness, and holistic health. Be prepared to sweat, release and rise to a deeper knowing.
Lila Yoga Surya Namaskar-Stimulating, Cleansing, & Releasing Energy for a Positive Day
§ DAY 1 Monring Classes: Introduction to Pada 1 & 2 of the Lila Yoga Surya Namaskar-cultivating awareness and learning modifications to suit your level of practice. Special emphasis on physical alignment and bio-mechanics.
§ DAY 2 Morning Classes: Introduction to Pada 2 & 3 of the Lila Yoga Surya Namaskar-cultivating awareness and learning modification to suit your level of practice. Again Erica will emphasis proper physical alignment and bio-mechanics.
§ DAY 3 Morning Classes: Full Lila Yoga Surya Namaskar (pada 1-4) practice followed by restorative postures. You will learn how to align your body, breath, intentions, and energy as a holistic practice. Special emphasis on powerful silent mantras and the inter-play of prana within your practice.
§ DAY 4 Morning Classes: Full Lila Yoga Surya Namaskar (pada 1-4) practice followed by restorative postures. We will integrate this practice with the 5 natural elements.
Lila Yoga Asana Practice–Balancing Strength and Ease
§ DAY 1 & 2 Evening Class: Introduction to Lila Yoga vinyasa practice and the beauty of Lila Explorations. Learn the basic sequence and the 5 movements of the spine that should be practiced daily. You will also learn how to energize the stabilizing muscles so that you can safely practice a powerful sequence of virabhadrasana I, II, & III, trikonasana, bakasana, ardha chandrasana, matsyendrasana, followed by restorative practices. Special emphasis on proper bio-mechanics and the physical alignment within the physics of it all. You will learn modifications to suit different levels of proficiency.
§ DAY 3 & 4 Evening Classes: Full Lila Yoga practice building on the previous two days. You will be introduced to the ‘Bija Mantras’ of each asana and learn how to make yourself available to the unique energy of that particular yoga posture. You will experience the magnificence of aligning with clear devoted intentions (silent mantras), and allowing yourself to be supported within a cosmic energy web (prana), yielding to a powerful fusion of raja and hatha practices.
OPTIONAL ADDITONS TO SCHEDULE: Guided 1 hour pranayama & meditation. And 1 hour Satsang
